Early voting extended in Florida county

A Florida judge ordered an early voting station in Orange County to be opened for four hours on Sunday afternoon following lawsuits filed by the state Democratic party.

The Florida Democratic Party filed lawsuits in order to get four counties to offer more time to vote before Election Day.

The lawsuit asked for additional time because an early voting site in Orange County was forced to close for several hours due to a suspicious package being reported.

The Democrats have filed a separate federal lawsuit seeking more voting time in Palm Beach, Miami-Dade and Broward counties. Voters in those counties encountered waiting times of up to six hours on Saturday, the last scheduled day of early voting.
