Brooklyn witnesses a feisty presidential Democratic debate

Ahead of the New York primary to be held on April 19, Democratic presidential hopefuls – Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders – sparred in a debate held in Brooklyn city. As per reports, the debate witnessed heated arguments between the two candidates as they traded barbs about their qualifications for the president’s post. Hillary and Sanders clashed on issues such as gun controls, Wall Street banks, and minimum wage.

Until now, the two candidates had largely avoided personal attacks unlike their Republican counterpart; however, the Brooklyn debate saw the two candidates resorting to the same tactics.

As the debate got on to a start, Hillary launched an attack on Sanders over his failure in an interview this month to describe how to break up big banks. Sanders countered Clinton for taking money from banks.
