2016 South Carolina Democratic Primary Results: An Analysis

According to the results, Hillary Clinton won South Carolina Democratic Primary with 73.5% votes as against 26% of Bernie Sanders. Most of the voters who voted for Clinton this time had favored Barack Obama in 2008. County-wise analyses suggest that Clinton surpassed her rival by a huge margin in Charleston, Columbia, Greenville, Orangeburg, and Sumter counties. The South Carolina Republican Primary was not so one-sided as this one since Donald Trump had to face some competition from Marco Rubio and Ted Cruz.
