Fyn is the third largest island of Denmark and located in the center of the country. It has a total area of 2,984 sq. km and has a population of 447,000.The main city of Fyn is Odense. The Great Belt Bridge connects Fyn with Zealand, the largest country island of Denmark.

Egeskov Castle
The Egeskov Castle is located to the south-west of the island and is actually a renaissance water castle. The castle is situated on a small beautiful lake and stands on oaken piles. The name Egeskov comes from oak trees.
Horne Church
The Horne Church is located to the southwestern side in the scenic village of Horne. Though actually made out of granite later on Gothic structures were added to it. One of the national treasures of Denmark called the Horne Book was discovered in the Horne Church.
Hvedholm Castle
The Hvedholm Castle was constructed back in the 15 th century and is situated near Faaborg. The heritage castle now functions as a hotel.
Funen Village
The Funen Village is located in the district of Funseberg at Odense. It is actually a Danish open air museum with ancient stone carvings of the Funish villages.
