Zlin Region Czech Republic

The Zlin region is located on the east of the Czech Republic, covering an area of 3,964 square kilometer. In terms of area it is the11th largest independent administrative unit of the country. The region has the total population of about 600,000 people.
The Zlin Region comprises of 4 districts namely Vsetin, Kromeriz, Uherske Hradiste, Zlin and 304 municipalities, of which, 30 are towns and cities.

  • The tourist area of Moravian Wallachia in the northernmost part of the Zlin Region abounds in diverse natural beauty.

  • Moravian Slovakia has rich history, culture, strong traditions and folklore. The Moravian Slovakian folk costumes and songs reflect the rich cultural heritage of the place. The tasty traditional cuisine with local wine and slivovice are something, which shouldn't be missed out during your visit.

  • Kromeriz is a city of bishops and archbishops, bounded between the Zlin Region and the Olomouc Region and acts as a natural connection of Moravian Slovakia, Hana, the Zlin Region and Wallachia. The roads and streets of the city lead you to the marvelous squares city, namely Stojanovo, Snemovni, Masarykovo, Hanacke or Riegrovo and the most beautiful square, Velke Namesti.

  • The areas of Zlin and Luhacovice are bounded by Hostynske vrchy, the ridges of the White Carpathians, Vizovicka vrchovina and the Morava River.
