Yemen conflict: 80 killed as fighting rages in Aden

Around 80 people, at least half of them civilians, were killed in the Yemini port city of Aden, reports say. According to rescue workers, Shia Houthi rebels targeted a boat that was carrying civilians attempting to flee the intense fighting in the city.
Around 40 other people including 30 Houthi rebels are believed to have died in the fighting. A senior army officer, Brig Gen Ali Nasser Hadi, was reportedly among those killed. US secretary of state John Kerry has said the situation in Yemen was “getting more dire by the day”.
