Worst heat wave in China in a Century

Dozens of people have died in China due to the heat wave, which is said to be the worst one in at least 140 years. Thermometers have gone above 104 degrees in at least 40 cities and counties.
Authorities have declared this to be a "level 2" weather emergency, which is used for emergencies such as typhoons and flooding.
Shanghai and many other eastern and southern provinces began to experience extreme heat in July and its expected to spread through mid-August throughout China.
More than 10 people have died in Shanghai, due to this extreme weather and China Meteorological Administration said the temperatures could reach 106 degrees in the coming days.
