World powers agree to ceasefire plan in Syria
February 12 , 2016
The major powers of the world have agreed for a nationwide "cessation of hostilities" in war-torn Syria. According to media reports, the cessation will begin in a week’s time after talks are held in Germany. However, the cessation will not apply to the fight against the ISIS and al-Nusra Front. The announcement was made after the Syrian army, supported by Russian air strikes, made advances in the Syrian province of Aleppo.
