Windstorms Worsen the Wildfires in Northern California, 175,000 people Alerted to Evacuate in addition to 90,000 Others Already Alerted

  • Historic windstorms and dry winds across northern California on early Sunday have worsened the wildfires. New mandatory evacuation orders have been issued by state officials. The Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office has alerted the residents that “if you are still in this mandatory evacuation area you need to leave now while you still can.” Reports say that around 175,000 people living in Santa Rosa may have to evacuate their homes to the already alerted 90,000 people of Sonoma County, who were alerted on Saturday night.
