Wildfire Detected Across Arctic Circle
August 13 , 2019
A large cloud of smoke is detected across Siberia as a destructive wildfire rages in the Arctic Circle. As per the weather reports, the areas of northern Russia, Alaska, Greenland, and Canada released 79 megatons of CO2 in July and 50 megatons of CO2 in June into the atmosphere. And in the first two weeks of August, the region has discharged nearly 25 megatons of CO2 already. Arctic Circle is considered to be the cooling apparatus of Earth. And the growing amount of CO2 being released threatens ecological balance as well as the climate.
