WHO promises to review response to Ebola epidemic
October 19 , 2014
The World Health Organization (WHO) has pledged to make public the complete review of its response to the Ebola epidemic in west Africa, but only after the crisis is brought under control.
The disease, which has no vaccination or known cure, has already killed more than 4,500 in west Africa this year.
The UN health agency, which has come under criticism for its handling of Ebola, said a detailed analysis of its past response would have to wait as the “urgent response” to the ongoing crisis was its priority.
