White House Press Secretary Resigns After Disagreeing with Scaramucci's Appointment
July 22 , 2017
White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer has resigned abruptly on Friday after opposing US President Donald Trump’s decision to appoint Anthony Scaramucci as communications director. Media reports say that Spicer “vehemently” disagreed with Scaramucci’s appointment as he considered it to be a major mistake. While appearing at a leading TV news channel, he reportedly said that Scaramucci’s appointment would increase the risk of "too many cooks in the kitchen", when it comes to the media operation of the White House. In a tweet Spicer said that it was an honor of serving the President Donald Trump and would continue serving through August for smooth transition.
