White House Calls Entire US Senate for North Korea Briefing

  • Being concerned at North Korea's threat to launch its missile and nuclear tests, the White House has called the entire US Senate in order to get a briefing on North Korea.

The briefing, which will involve 100 senators, along with Secretary of State Rex Tillerson and Defence Secretary James Mattis, is going to be held on Wednesday.

However, restraint from all sides has been called by North Korea's close ally, China.

Chinese President Xi Jinping reportedly spoke to US President Donald Trump over phone on Sunday.

According to some sources, Xi urged all parties to avoid any action that threatens peace among the nations.
