Which is the most generous nation in the world?
December 12 , 2013
CNN brought some good news about the world's generous capacity and mentioned that the world was more generous last year than it was in 2011.
The Charities Aid Foundation in London named the United States to be the most generous country, based on Gallup polls, which measures three factors involving 135 countries. The country stood at No. 14 when it was measured on the "donating money" factor but grabbed the third place in volunteering. It topped the "helping out strangers" factor.
The least charitable country, according to the foundation, is Greece. Given the economic issues in the country, it's understandable that it didn't do well on the money factor. However, the report proves that there are other categories other than money and even Syrians made it to the top 10 list for helping strangers.
