Western countries urge their citizens to leave Libya
July 28 , 2014
Western nations have told their citizens to leave Libya, as the country stares at a full-fledged civil war, with shots fired at British diplomats, as per media reports.
“British nationals in Libya should leave now by commercial means,” the UK’s Foreign Office said. The British embassy will remain open for now, but with fewer staff.
Germany, the Netherlands and France have issued similar warnings to their citizens. The United States has already evacuated its embassy in Tripoli.
