War Crimes Led Congo Warlord Behind the Bars

  • Jean-Pierre Bemba, ex-rebel leader of the Democratic Republic of Congo, has been put behind the bars for 18 years. He was found guilty of war crimes and sexual violence in the neighboring Central African Republic (CAR) in the year 2002 and 2003. He was also accused of not making an effort to stop his rebels from killing people and raping women.
