Volcano erupts in Alaska: flight warnings issues

  • According to authorities in Alaska, flight warnings were issued in the state due to a volcanic eruption on the Aleutian Islands. It has been reported that the volcano sent ash spewing some 20,000 feet up in the air. As per the Alaska Volcano Observatory, the Pavlof Volcano began to abruptly erupt on Sunday. A volcano alert warning remained in effect in Alaska on Monday morning.
