Venezuelan Sanctions to Continue Despite Good Gesture

  • The US Vice-President Mike Pence has told media that the sanctions issued on Venezuela will continue inspite of the fact that the Latin American country has released a prisoner named Joshua Holt and his Venezuelan wife Thamy. In a tweet, Pence said the sanctions will continue in Venezuela until and unless democracy is established in the Latin American country. President Donald Trump said in the Oval Office that Joshu is an incredibly brave person. Joshua thanked the US government for help. Re-elected Venezuelan President’s spokesperson told media that release of Joshua Holt and his wife were good gestures for improving dialog between Venezuela and the United States.
