Venezuela: Massive Demonstrations on 50th Day of Anti-government Protests

  • As per reports, massive rally and violence marked on the 50th day of anti-government protests in Venezuela. Numerous people marched along Caracas's Francisco Fajardo highway, while a gigantic sign that read "Elections Now" was flanked by some of them.

    Reports also say that anti-government protesters are seeking for new elections and want President Nicolas Maduro to resign.

    Protests in Caracas on Saturday turned violent after demonstrators and police clashed. Tear gas and exploding Molotov cocktails were used.

    As mentioned by the country's attorney general's office, around 950 were injured since the protests began.
