US Warns International Criminal Court against Prosecuting Americans

  • The International Criminal Court has been threatened by the US if it continues with the prosecution against US citizens. The US has stated that it would impose sanctions in response to the action taken against the Americans. The court is considering the case of US servicemen abusing the detainees in Afghanistan. John Bolton, the National Security Adviser, has labeled the court illegitimate and promised that the US would do everything in order to protect its citizens.

The court, which was founded in 2002, hasn't been joined by the US, among several other nations.
