US VP Pence says Trump's Strategy of Alienating North Korea is Actually Working

  • US Vice-President Mike Pence has said that the North Korean leadership’s decision of meeting the US President Donald Trump proves that the USA’s strategy of “zero concessions” along with maintaining pressure on DPRK for denuclearization is actually working.  President Trump has tweeted that there’s every possibility of a deal with North Korea and the world is going to benefit from it, if completed in reality. White House spokesperson Sarah Sanders has said the US President would ask North Korea to undertake “concrete steps and concrete actions” before the US-DPRK meeting actually takes place. Reports say local diplomats at Swedish embassy (representing diplomatic interests of the USA, Canada and Australia) in Pyongyang were quoted saying Foreign Minister of North Korea Ri Yong-ho is scheduled to meet his Swedish counterpart soon.
