US steps up security at government buildings
October 29 , 2014
The United States has tightened its security at government buildings following the gun attack on Canada’s parliament, media reports say.
The increased security measures will be in place in the capital Washington DC and other parts of the country.
In a written statement, Jeh Johnson, the Homeland Security secretary, cited “public calls by terrorist organizations for attacks on the homeland” and the attack on Canada as the reasons for the new security measures.
