US shooting case: Ferguson police chief resigns after report reveals racial bias

Thomas Jackson, the police chief of Ferguson, Missouri, has resigned after a US government report alleged racial bias prevalent in his department.
Ferguson has been the focus of media and government attention in the US after an unarmed black teenager Michael Brown was shot and killed by a white police officer in August 2014.
The killing sparked weeks of riots in the predominantly black city.
Several officials from Ferguson have resigned in wake of the federal report.
