February 11 , 2016
In response to North Korea’s recent rocket and nuclear tests, the US Senate has voted unanimously for tougher sanctions against the country. According to media reports, it would target anyone who would aid, directly or indirectly, North Korea’s weapons proliferation or human rights abuses. Earlier South Korea halted its operation at the Kaesong industrial park, jointly run by the two Koreas, and its workers have started withdrawing from the park.
