US Secretary in Pyongyang Ahead of Trump-Kim Summit


    Mike Pompeo, the US Secretary of State, has arrived in Pyongyang in order to oversee the preparations for the upcoming summit of the US President Donald Trump with North Korea dictator Kim Jong Un. The date and the location for the summit are also reported to be announced after Pompeo's trip. Pompeo tweeted that: Headed back to #DPRK at the invitation of the North Korean leadership. I look forward to planning a successful summit between President Trump and Kim Jong-un.

    According to a South Korean government official, it is expected that Pompeo would leave the country with 3 of the American detainees, held there for months.
