US President Trump Hints at US-China Trade Deal by End of June 2019

  • The US President Donald Trump has said during an interview that it doesn’t matter anymore whether the Chinese President Xi Jinping attends the 2019 G20 summit, to be held at Japan’s International Exhibition Center in Osaka on June 28-29, 2019. Many say this predicts an imminent US-China trade deal at the same time anyway. During an interview, Trump said “We’re going to see. Eventually, they’re going to make a deal.” During the last G20 summit in Argentina’s Buenos Aires last year, both the US and China agreed to put an end to their escalating trade war. In the Economic Daily run WeChat account, Taoran Notes said that a US-China trade deal can be reached during the Osaka G20 summit if the USA earnestly seeks to resolve the core concerns of China and return to the consensus that was reached by all the world leaders during 2018 G20 Buenos Aires summit.
