US President to Meet his South Korean Counterpart on May 22

  • White House has said in a statement that the US President Donald Trump will meet his South Korean counterpart Moon Jae-in on May 22. Trump has said that the date and location of his first ever meeting with North Korea’s supreme leader Kim Jong Un has been set, thereby building up suspense on the coveted meeting. After meeting his US counterpart John Bolton, South Korean President’s National Security Advisor Chung Eui-yong has reportedly said that the issue of US troop withdrawal being raised repeatedly is unacceptable. President Trump has told reporters that the issue of the US troop withdrawal is “not on the table”.
