US President Donald Trump says US-North Korea Summit is Back on Track

  • The US President Donald Trump has announced, in a complete reversal of his previous announcement a week back, that the June 12 US-North Korea summit in Singapore is back on track. The announcement comes after the North Korean envoy General Kim Yong-chol hand-delivered a letter of North Korea’s supreme leader Kim Jong-un to the US President at the White House. Trump told media on the White House lawn that no one should expect that a final deal will be reached during the upcoming summit regarding North Korea’s nuclear program. He went on to say that the summit will open up a process and will lead to building up of a relationship, which in itself is a positive thing.
