US President Donald Trump declares the Taking down of World's No.1 Terrorist Leader "Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi

  • The US President Donald Trump declared on Sunday morning that the world’s No.1 terrorist leader “Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi is dead”. During a US military raid in northwest Syria over the weekend. During the press conference, the US President called the removal of the ISIS leader as “the top national security priority of my administration.” The operation was carried out at a time when many international analysts warned that the pulling back of the US military from Syria will lead to the resurgence of the dreaded terrorist organization Islamic State. President Trump went on to say that “He died like a coward. The world is now a much safer place.” The US President said that the ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi was chased by dogs to the end of the tunnel and was dragged by the dogs. As he along with 3 children were being dragged by the dogs, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi detonated a suicide vest and killed himself along with the 3 children. Trump also said that the immediate test results have confirmed that the person killed during the raid was indeed the dreaded ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi. Reports say two women also died during the operation. The US President said that he was informed of the possibility of such a strike last week and the operation was kept a secret. Only a handful of the US lawmakers were informed about the operation as he wanted to make sure that there were no leaks beforehand. Defense Secretary Mark Esper called it a devastating blow to ISIS because Al Baghdadi was not only the leader but also the founder and “inspirational leader in many ways”.
