US President Calls CIA Assessment of Khashoggi Killing Premature but Possible

  • The US President Donald Trump has called the assessment of CIA regarding Jamal Khashoggi murder “very premature”. On Tuesday, he’ll receive a complete report on the concerned issue explaining the US government about the murder and its overall impact. During a California trip, Donald Trump said that the renowned reporter’s murder shouldn’t have happened. He also said that it’s possible Saudi Arabia Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman is responsible for Khashoggi’s murder. The US President’s comment came just hours after the State Department said that the United States government hasn’t yet made a final conclusion on the issue. White House spokeswoman Sarah Huckabee Sanders told media that President Trump has discussed the matter with CIA Director Gina Haspel as well as Secretary of State Mike Pompeo.
