US Might Levy $100bn Tariff on Chinese Products

  • US President Donald Trump might further impose a tariff of $100 bn on China. Over the past few weeks, $50 bn tariffs are already proposed on a number of Chinese goods. China has retorted back by threatening to levy a tax on as many as 106 US key products. Due to these tit-for-tat moves, the global market has become unsettled. According to the analysts, the negotiations between these two major economies is crucial otherwise this trade war between the two would inevitably make the global markets suffer. However, Asian investors are unperturbed, claiming that the fears of trade war were exaggerated.
