US House of Representatives passes resolution on "ethnic cleansing" of Rohingya Muslims

The US House of Representatives has heavily criticized the “ethnic cleansing” of Rohingya Muslims in Myanmar. It has urged the leadership of Myanmar to put a stop on the attacks on the community in Rakhine state. According to media reports, a resolution was passed by the House of Representatives yesterday which called for the immediate restoration of humanitarian access to the people in the state. So far, more than 600,000 Rohingya Muslims have fled to Bangladesh.
