US House Backs Up Trump Border Funds, government could shutdown

  • Trump is "plunging the country into chaos," said Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer.

The House has increased the chances of US government shutdown, as they proposed a spending bill for the Trump Border Wall which the Senate might reject. Trump had surprised the fellow Republicans, declaring that he would not sign a bill without the border money. Now, the House and Senate have passed spending bills that differ. While the House bill satisfied the demand of Donald Trump and includes the $5 billion for a wall, the Senate version which was passed before them, does not include the amount. The shutdown is expected hours before midnight on Friday.
