US expels two Russian Diplomats over attack on American Diplomat in Moscow
July 9 , 2016
US State Department spokesman John Kirby said that US has asked two Russian diplomats on June 17 to leave the country. The diplomats have been asked to leave the US following an attack on an American diplomat in Moscow. He went on to say that a Russian policeman attacked a US diplomat (working for CIA) “unprovoked” near US embassy in Moscow on June 6. Reports say, the unprovoked action was taken after the CIA official refused to show ID papers. US officials say the number of hostile incidents against US diplomats by Russian security and intelligence services is rising.
