US drone strike in Syria targets British militant 'Jihadi John'
November 13 , 2015
The Islamic State militant known as “Jihadi John”, who became infamous for carrying out several on-camera beheadings of western hostages, has been targeted by a US drone strike in Syria.
While US officials have not officially declared his death, there appears to be a fairly high degree of certainty within the intelligence community that he died in the strike in Raqqa on Thursday.
Born in Kuwait, Mohammed Emwazi was a British national and appeared in several brutal beheading videos.
