US distances itself from Saudi-led coalition’s attack on Yemen
After aerial strikes hit civilian targets killing 19 people and injuring 24 others, US military distanced itself from the Saudi-led coalition's attack on Yemen on concerns about civilian casualties. Pentagon spokesman Adam Stump said that United States has withdrawn a planning team from Saudi Arabia and moved it to Bahrain for improving coordination with naval commandes in Bahrain. In fact, humanitarian groups such as Doctors Without Borders and Médecins Sans Frontier withdrew from Saudi Arabia after “indiscriminate bombings” in northern Hajjah province.
