US Criticizes Chinese Civil Aviation Administration's New Circular to 36 Airliners, China Responds
May 6 , 2018
The US government has criticised a recent circular of China’s Civil Aviation Administration, issued to 36 airlines. The circular asked the airliners to remove any reference on their websites or other material that suggests the three disputed regions (Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau) are independent from Chinese authority. In a statement White House has said that the US President will resist any effort by Chinese Communist Party to impose their political correctness on any US company. The statement also went on to call the Chinese Civil Aviation Administration’s circular as “Orwellian nonsense”. Responding to US government’s statement, China said the foreign companies should respect Chinese people’s national feelings.
