US could be India's 'best partner', says Obama

  • Concluding his three-day trip to India, US President Barack Obama said on Tuesday that the United States could become Delhi’s “best partner”, media reports said.

Speaking to an audience in the Indian capital consisting mostly of students, Obama, who was the chief guest at the host country’s Republic Day function on January 26, said for climate change to be reversed, India should adopt cleaner forms of energy.

He described the India-US relation as this century’s defining partnership.
