US Announces to Slash Embassy Staffs to Cuba after Sonic Attacks
September 30 , 2017
US administration has reportedly decided to slash 60 per cent of the US staff to the US embassy in Cuban capital Havana after 21 US diplomats and their family members were harmed by mysterious sonic attacks. Reports say that US will only maintain “core consular and diplomatic functions” in Cuba. Josefina Vidal, foreign ministry official in charge of US affairs in Cuba, has called the US action “hasty” and also said that the decision will adversely affect bilateral relationship between the two countries. A senior US official reportedly said that they still don’t know how or what means were adopted for carrying out the sonic attacks.
