US Administration Issues Advisory to the US Commercial Airliners while Flying over Gulf Region

  • The US commercial airliners have been issued an advisory by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regarding flying over the Gulf waters as well as the Gulf of Oman. The pilots have been asked to be cautious as the tensions between the United States and Iran continues. Reports say FAA issued the advisory on Thursday and its circulation is done late on Friday. The FAA advisory says that the regional tensions (both military and political) pose threat to the operations of the US civil aviation “due to the potential for miscalculation or mis-identification”. Some diplomatic staffs from its embassy in Baghdad were also pulled out by the USA earlier this week after four oil tankers were attacked in the Gulf last weekend. With the US increasing economic sanctions on Iran and moving US troops to the Gulf region, Iran has on Friday that they can hit US ships easily.
