US Actor Nelsan Ellis Dies of Heart Failure at 39 Years

  • US actor Nelsan Ellis, who became popular by playing flamboyant Lafayette Reynolds in the True Blood series (from 2008 to 2014) at HBO, died at the age of 39 years due to heart failure. In a statement, HBO expressed their sadness from the untimely death of “long-time member of the HBO family”. Octavia Spencer (Nelsan’s co-actor in film adaptation of a novel by Kathryn Stockett - The Help), Joe Manganiello, Kristin Bauer, Lauren Bowles, Michael McMillian, and many more paid their last respects to Nelsan Ellis. He is survived by his father, son, grandmother, and 7 siblings.
