The deadly Ebola virus may have crossed borders from Guinea and reached Canada. About 59 people died due to the virus in Guinea and a Canadian has now been hospitalized with similar symptoms such as hemorrhagic fever.
Reports suggest that the man got sick after visiting Liberia and Ebola has been listed as a potential cause.
"All we know at this point is that we have a person who is critically ill who traveled from a country where these diseases occur," deputy chief medical health officer of the province said. The patient has been kept in isolation and is in a serious condition.
