United States: Trump Tested Negative for COVID-19 for the Second Time
May 8 , 2020
After a personal valet at the White House tested positive for COVID-19, United States President Donald Trump and Vice-President Mike Pence were also taken for a test. White House spokesman Hogan Gidley confirmed in a statement that both President and Vice-President have tested negative. “The President and the Vice President have since tested negative for the virus, and they remain in great health.” The valet was a member of the US military and also assisted the President to dress. This was the second time Trump was tested for COVID-19 and tested negative both times. However, White House confirmed that anyone who is expected to be near Trump or Pence would be given a rapid COVID-19 test as a precautionary measure.
