Underground Electrical Fire Rock Toronto Financial District

  • As per reports, a series of explosions caused by an underground electrical fire took place on downtown Toronto.

    Witnesses mentioned that they heard sounds of multiple explosions. Billowing clouds of smoke coming from subway grates could be seen.

    As mentioned by the Toronto Fire Service, fire began in an underground vault which was used for storing electrical transformers.

    The area near Bay Street and King Street was closed off by the police and people were also evacuated from some buildings because of smoke.

    Sources say that the subway service was not affected and there were no injuries reported.
