  • US Says Violence in South Sudan Must Stop

    July 12, 2016: The outbreak of violence that has killed more than hundred people in south Sudan needs to be stopped, as said by the United States. An immediate arms embargo and helicopters for strengthening the force have been called by the UN. On Monday a ceasefire was called, but the end of violence is still not known.

    Right After UN Plea, Clashes Erupt in South Sudan

    July 11, 2016: As the UN Security Council called for a warring faction to put an end to the fighting, it again has started in the South Sudan. As per a reporter, sound of explosions and gunfires can be heard from all corners of the city. Since Friday, more than 200 people have died in the clash.

    

    UN Tries to End Violence in South Sudan

    July 11, 2016: With an aim to prevent violence that took place in South Sudan, the UN Security Council has called warring factions. The clashes resulted in death of more than hundreds since Friday. As mentioned by the State Department, the security situation in Juba on Sunday has witnessed an even more deterioration because of the clashes between the government and the security forces, who broke out into general fighting.
