In a statement, the U.N. Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has called on the warring factions in Yemen’s Aden (having internationally-recognized government) and urged them to stop hostilities and resolve their differences by engaging in inclusive dialogue. Reports say that 8 civilians have died owing to renewed fighting between the government forces and the southern separatists. A government official has said that the Security Belt separatist forces have taken control of all the military camps that belonged to the internationally recognized Yemeni government of President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi. Reports say that the clashes between the two forces took place around the presidential palace located in the Crater district, neighborhood of Interior Minister Ahmed al-Mayssari’s residence, and near Aden International Airport.
