Ukraine: Russia faces 'rising costs and greater isolation,' warns Biden
November 22 , 2014
Joe Biden, the US vice-president, has said Moscow would face “rising costs and greater isolation,” if it failed to respect the Ukraine peace agreement reached in September, media reports say.
Biden, who is on a visit to Ukraine, met President Petro Poroshenko and urged Russia to pull back its military forces from Ukrainian territory.
The US vice-president’s visit comes as Ukrainians mark one year since the beginning of the movement that ousted President Viktor Yanukovych.
