Ukraine: Four soldiers 'summarily' killed by rebels, says Amnesty
April 9 , 2015
Rights group Amnesty International says it has evidence that four Ukrainian soldiers in captivity were “summarily” killed by pro-Russia rebels in eastern Ukraine.
The claims required a prompt and thorough investigation so that the perpetrators are “prosecuted in fair trials by recognized authorities”, Denis Krivosheev, Amnesty International's Deputy Director for Europe and Central Asia said.
A ceasefire has been in place in eastern Ukraine, but there have been reports of occasional fighting.
