Ukraine conflict: Red Cross worker killed in shelling

  • A Red Cross worker has been killed in the fighting in eastern Ukraine. The humanitarian agency said there was shelling near its office in Donetsk.

    Though Ukrainian government forces and pro-Russia rebels have declared a ceasefire, fighting has continued in certain areas, including the rebel-controlled parts of Donetsk.

    Several civilians have died in the shelling in Donetsk in the past few days. According to United Nations estimates, more than 2,500 people have died in the conflict so far.
