Ukraine bans Russian airlines from flying into country
September 26 , 2015
Ukraine says it will bar Russian airlines from flying into its territory as a reaction to Russia’s continuing support to separatists.
The measures will come into force on October 25 and major Russian carriers such as Transaero and Aeroflot would be banned from entering the country.
Russia has slammed the move, calling it an “act of madness”, and vowed to give a firm response.
Meanwhile, the two countries have reached a deal on supplying natural gas to Kiev for the winter months.
